Along the way, we'll visit several must-see spots on the big island, including the Red Road and Volcano National Park. We'll also visit some of the most cutting edge integrated communities on our planet and become part of their inspiring guiding principles that make them truly self-sufficient and sustainable. You'll experience rainwater catchment systems, organic gardening, permaculture, passive solar systems, composting, integrated animal systems, composting, integrated animal systems, active and passive solar design, green and local building practices (like bamboo!), ancient Hawaiian culture, land use principles and more.
